A note from our editors: This special edition of Cosmic Double features only writers who are adoptees, donor-conceived, birth parents, or discoverers of genetic secrets in their families. We wanted to give these writers a chance to have their voices heard, as the process of creating and maintaining family can lead to the silencing of members of these groups.
The writers and artists in this issue come from around the world and from a variety of experiences of family. Some of them write about their experiences and feelings, while others take on a wide variety of topics.
